One Chair - painting by Leonore Johnston

Leonore has had a keen interest in art throughout her life: always making things from a young age.

Leonore has studied painting with Denis Cliff, Peter Kolisnyk, Brian Atyeo, Kim Lee Ko, Kal Honey, Brian Smith, Andrea Mossop, Joanna Nash and Steve Rose, among others. Her subjects range from representational views of nature and people to non-objective shapes and colours and everything in between. Her paintings have been displayed in several juried shows, two person exhibits and a solo exhibition entitled “Lightscapes”.

Driven by a creative compulsion, Leonore explores many subjects in her art practice using a variety of methods, styles and mediums, always searching for new and challenging avenues of expression.

She lives in Toronto, Ontario.
